During cataract surgery, you have the option of electing technology and premium lenses that work to get you out of glasses and contact lenses. Often, even the most advanced options will still require the use of reading glasses to see up close. The Symfony lens offers new optical technology to provide an Extended Range of Vision for your eyes.
The lens works to create continuous, clear vision with minimal to no need for glasses at every visual range – near, far and intermediate. This allows patients to see well when they are reading the newspaper or their phone, working on the computer or watching television and driving or playing golf.
The Symfony IOL comes in a Non-Toric and Toric version. The Toric Symfony IOL is used when a patient needs astigmatism correction at the same time as cataract surgery, enabling them to have the clearest vision possible after their surgery.
